Whether you listen to their music or you see them live, one simple sentence describes The Arkanes: they play high energy alternative rock.

With a classic four piece formation, they have a very unique style which combines the latest sounds of the indie circuit with the quintessence of garagerock and grunge.

Founded in Skelmersdale/Liverpool by lead vocalist/guitarist Chris Pate in late 2007, with guitarist Adam Sheeran, bassist/vocalist Lee Dummett, the band was lately completed by Andy Long on the drums. All of them are still in their early twenties.

Despite their relatively short existence, they have already gained a loyal fan base locally, out of town… and outside the U.K., with street teams in Chile and New Zealand!

Sharpshooter, Can’t help myself and Schitzophonic were the result of the first collaboration between band and producer: three smashing songs full of energy, with catchy melodies and lyrics. The voice of Chris Pate brings power and shows a rare maturity for his age. Later came Don’t act like you know me, Wonderbug or Silly boy stupid girl, new great songs that have proved to work great live.
